Beginning to Advanced Classical Spanish
and Flamenco Dance Lessons
Flamenco is the traditional song and dance of the Gypsy people of Andalucía in southern Spain.
It's believed that Flamenco developed over several centuries from a fusion of various native Andalucian, Sephardic and Islamic cultures, as the gypsies migrated into Spain, as early as the 15th century.
Bringing more than 30 years of professional experience to the art of Classical Spanish and Flamenco dance, Jacquelina Villegas-MacLin offers her students a strong foundation in Flamenco dance technique. Jacquelina teaches students progressive fundamentals using arms (brazeo), hand movements (floreo), correct body posturing (posturas), turns (vueltas), footwork (taconeo), hand clapping (palmas) and various Flamenco rhythms (compas).
Jacquelina’s classes are held in Seattle’s Eastside in Kirkland, Wa.
