About Jackie

Jackie Villegas-MacLin starting dancing at the age of 5 years old under the direction of Rosemarie Cruz, in her native town Santa Barbara California. She has over 35 years of extensive training in Flamenco, Classical Spanish, Mexican Folk, Ballet, and Jazz dance, as well as a background in musical theatre as a featured dancer and choreographer of several stage musicals.
Introduced to Flamenco dance as a teenager, Jacquelina discovered her life's passion and began her studies with Roberto Amaral in Los Angeles. After moving to Kirkland Washington, she met her mentor and Maestra Maria Morca. Nationally Jacquelina has trained with several Flamenco artists such as Oscar Nieto, Maria Bermudez, Maria Benitez and at the National Institute of Flamenco in New Mexico. Internationally she's studied with renowned Spanish Flamenco artists such as Rafael Campallo, Cristina Hoyos, Javier Baron, Eva La Yerbabuena and Mercedes Ruiz. Jacquelina has been teaching children, teen and adult dance classes for the past 20 years. She is married with 2 children, and is grateful everyday for her family's empowering support, as she indulges in her passion for Flamenco!
